Nag issue ng positive stand ang NDFP at that time and Tito Soncuya shared his views in his Tusok Balita report (http://www.ndfpdarts.com/tb_news_tumbok_04.htm -- Ed.).  Please go over his articles and all other write-ups at Tusok Balita Archives na sinulat niya sa tabloid Tumbok  noong 2008 and surprisingly, you’ll see relevant and  practical issues being tackled by the NDFP president.

DCP election is finally over and we now await the election of a new president by the 11 directors.  Frontrunners for the position and the only qualified among them are Logie Estacio and Errol Magtubo. Who will be the One is the question the whole darting community is eager to know.

Last Saturday, Panciteria ni Edong tournament drew 186 participants; PSME tournament had 100 players and Olympia fiesta tournament had over 50 darters.  That’s easily 350 darters all playing in one day in Manila.

Seen at the jam-packed Edong’s tourney are some of Darts’ more colourful personalities.  Direct from Abu Dhabi – National player Gale Santos, and my all time nemesis and tormentor Boy Kano Rey Santos. And for the first time, I met one of the dart icons of the 90’s, the ponytailed Jondi Castañeda who is thinking of making a silent comeback into the game.  He has set up 4 boards in his garage, conducts mini tourneys, and coaches a Team C dart league team.  Some of the famous in- house darters over there are Doi Freddie Roach Regala and Dave The Sawsaw King Tordil.

Also that night, I was able to finally put a face in the name of Dart Pilipinas founder, Jason Manlunas.  This web designer and Google Analytics expert is one hunk and a certified, true blooded netizen who spends 20 hours in front of the computer.  He does not look any bit like Harry Potter or like any geek you see on teevee.  He is a hottie!  Sis Jeff and all the girls, take note.

Tidbits:  Vince Bona is no longer around.  He is now Gerald Belarga. It is a change in name only. But the same old face remains the same.

But it was a great game.

Gosh!  Me nerbiyos pa rin ako. Di nag cherry out??? Tenk yo, Rey.  Pero ang score namin ay 280 pa. Hayz, ang layo. Tambak pala kasi. Grrrrr. Some things never change.......  Speaking of change, aba 9:10pm pa lang umpisa na ang laro right after the run-down ng players.

The next big tournaments – The acoustic singer Eric Matic concert and 30K tournament at Divine Grill, Sta Maria Bulacan on May 24 and the most prestigious NDFP tournament of the year, the 3-day Robson’s P200K Summer Dartfest at Sta. Lucia Mall starting on May 30.  See you on the boards!
