Lourence Ilagan and Christian Perez leave for Germany on Thursday, June 8th, for their participation to the My Diesel Claim World Cup of Darts at the Eissporthalle in Frankfurt, Germany from June 15th to 18th. The two seasoned Pinoy darters will represent the Philippines in the 32-nation tournament across four days in a combination of Doubles and Singles events.

Ilagan is set to make his seventh appearance at the World Cup of Darts stage after topping the PDC Asian Tour Order of Merit. He has teamed up with Christian Perez in 2012 and 2021, with Gilbert Ulang in 2015, with Noel Malicdem in 2019 and 2020, and RJ Escaros in 2022. Lou takes with him years of experience competing in international dart events, such as the WDF Asia-Pacific Cup in 2000 and 2006, the Winmau World Masters in 2009, the World Darts Championship in 2009, 2013, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, and the World Soft Darts Championship from 2013 to 2015.

Meanwhile, this will be Perez’ third appearance at the World Cup of Darts since 2012. Similar to his teammate, Perez brings along with him years of experience from international dart tournaments, such as the Shanghai Darts Open in 2009, the World Soft Darts Championship from 2013 to 2015, and the World Darts Championship of 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2022. Perez is the first Filipino Asian Qualifier to play in the PDC Grand Slam of Darts last year, and the very first Filipino to earn a PDC Pro Tour Card from the PDC UK Qualifying School in January this year. Perez will be playing his first Pro Tour event at the upcoming PDC Players Championship in Hildesheim, Germany from June 12th to 13th.

We call on the Philippine Darting Community for their unwavering support and prayers for Ilagan and Perez.
