  From Manila by Air
The best way to reach General Santos City, Gensan for short, is direct flight to Gensan airport. Servicing Gensan are Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific Air. The current round trip fare at this time (September 23, 2009) is between P4,700 for econolite fare of PAL and P5,300 for Cebu Pacific. Fare Rates increase as flights reach full booking.

Alternative options are flights going to Davao City and to take a land trip to Gensan. Approximate land trip is 3 hours to Gensan from Davao City. You can hire a private van in Davao City Airport to Gensan and will cost you 1,000 and above. This comes in cheaper if you are travelling in a group. There are no fix rate and you have to haggle for rates.

Aside from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, there are direct international flights going to Cebu City and you can book a connecting flight from Cebu City to Gensan. Servicing Cebu City and Gensan are Cebu Pacific and PAL.

There are also international flights to Davao City and to travel by land to Gensan.

From Manila via Sea
