Robson Dart League 2nd Conference Develops New Champions

Angono Rizal Darters Association
(ARDA) 1 (Div A), U.P. Darters 1 (Div B), MCDO - Knights of Darters
2 (Div C) and MCDO - Knights of Darters 3 (Div D) emerged as the
divisional champions at the conclusion of the 2006 Robson
Dart League 2nd Conference held last November 14,
2006 (Tuesday) at Ali Mall in Araneta Center, Quezon City. The Robson
Dart League is organized by the National Dart Foundation of the
Philippines (NDFP) and sponsored by Sportshouse and Robson Sportscraft.
ARDA 1 won the Division A Championship
over three-time champion Robson Spectra with a score of 5-1 while
Robson K of Caloocan City took 3rd place over undermanned Makati
City Darts Association (M.C.D.A.) with a score of 5-3. Boyet Concepcion
of Robson K bagged the special award for the coveted Most Highlights
trophy by scoring a total of thirty-three (33) highlights during
the entire conference. MCDO - Pirates 1 teammates Edison Abo and
Glenn Romero received the special awards for Highest High Out and
Most Double Bull Out, respectively. Concepcion, Gerry Baetiong of
Alcodarts and Bonie Evangelista of M.C.D.A. received the award for
Most T80’s with a total of four (4) T80’s each.

U.P. Darters 1 and Shougo, both
from Quezon City, overpowered their respective rivals to bag the
Championship and 3rd place, respectively, in Division B. U.P. Darters
1 defeated Ainsmith Darters 1 of Manila in a hotly contested decision
match, 5-4, while Shougo placed 3rd by defeating Pinpoint composed
of St. Luke’s Hospital employees with a score of 5-3. With
eighteen (18) highlights each, Ernie Guizon of Robson - MCDO and
Ely Laluan of Shougo received the special award for the Most Highlights.
U.P. Darters 1 player Boy Plares received the special awards for
the Highest High Out and Highest Double Bull Out while Laluan, King
Ambrocio of Shougo, Glenn Buenaventura of BT Darters of Balut, Tondo,
Manila and Muling Niegas of U.P. Darters 1 won the special award
for Most T80s with two (2) T80’s each.

2006 1st Conference Division C 5th
placers MCDO - Knights of Darters 2 of Tañong, Marikina City
finally won the Division C Championship as they defeated One 76ers
SDR Darters of Manila with a score of 5-2. In the battle for 3rd
place, McGuire Darts composed of Makati City Hall employees won
over Philpost – RODC with a similar 5-2 score. The special
awards for the Highest High Out and Most Double Bull Out went to
Arnel Baldomar of Amazing 1 of Pitogo, Makati City while Mario Escotido
of McGuire Darts and Monching Mendoza of One 76ers SDR Darters tied
with seventeen (17) highlights each to receive the special award
for Most Highlights. Edwin Angeles of Novales Dart Club of Quezon
City, KJ Estero of MCDO – Knights of Darters 2 and Arnold
Garcia of Robson Tungsten tied with three (3) T80’s each to
receive the award for the Most T80’s.

In Division D, MCDO - Knights of
Darters 2 of Tañong, Marikina City defeated newcomer Amazing
2 of Pitogo, Makati City with a score of 5-3 to grab the divisional
championship. First timers United Darters of Taytay (UDT) 3 triumphed
over veteran team ACDC – District III, 5-4, to win 3rd place.
Veteran dart league player Mario Pable of MSR Tires Tantwozeros
of Manila received the special award for Most Highlights after scoring
fifteen (15) highlights while rookie Alvin Santos of ACDC –
District III received the special awards for the Most High Out and
Highest Double Bull Out. Alex Cruz of Kankaloo of Caloocan City
received the award for Most T80’s with three (3) T80’s.

Special awards were likewise given
to a five (5) individuals who achieved a Triple Highlight (High
Score, High Out and Double Bull Out) during the entire conference.
The awardees were Emil Manga of ARDA 1 and Jun Pagdato of M.C.D.A.
in Division A, Boy Plares of U.P. Darters 1 in Division B, Arnel
Baldomar of Amazing 1 in Division C and Alvin Santos of ACDC –
District III in Division D.
All teams took home a share in the
prize money based on the points they won during the entire conference
in this unique money-in, money-out dart league. Aside from the cash
prize, Sportshouse awarded gift packs to the players of the champion,
2nd place and 3rd place teams in each division while Robson Sportscraft
awarded all the team and individual trophies and special awards.
In a related development, the organizers
would also like to announce that entries are now being accepted
for the 2007 Robson Dart League 1st Conference. The scheduled and
venue will be announced at a later date. Due to limited slots, interested
teams should submit their team line-up and their team logo (colored,
JPEG or PSD format, 300 dpi) as soon as possible. Entry
