| The United Filipino Darts Club (UFDC)
of Abu Dhabi is all set for the much-awaited sequel of UFDC Invitational
Dart Tournament Series. Backed-up with a resilient leadership and
a very lucrative guaranteed prize of Php 100,000
(approx. AED 8,000) from quite a number of reputable
sponsors, UFDC President, Ding Arduo, has predicted
that this event will attract more darting enthusiasts within the UAE
and the nearby Gulf regions. “Eventually, this will make the
tournament even more challenging and more competitive than the previous
one”, he added.
Tagged as ‘2nd UFDC Invitational Dart Tournament’,
the event will be held at Safari Discotheque, Howard Johnson Diplomat
Hotel at Khalifa Street (opposite Le Royal Meridian Hotel) in Abu
Dhabi on October 31, 2008 (Friday) from 2:00 PM onwards. Official
registration opens at 12:00 NN and closes at 1:45 PM. Game starts
at exactly 2:00 PM sharp. Elegant trophies plus BIG, BIG cash prizes
await the winners. Surprise souvenir and other gift items will also
be won via random raffle draws during the event.
Mode of play for the Classified Doubles event will be 501 best
of 3 legs in the Winners’ Bracket and 701 single game in the
Losers’ Bracket. The Open Singles event (an NDFP-ranking event)
will have a best of 3 legs, Single Knock-out format. Entry fee is
AED 80.00 per player with two (2) FREE beer or any beverage of choice.
Special discounts will, likewise, be given on various food and refreshment
items to all participants including their friends and family members
who will grace the said event.
This tournament is supported by National Dart Federation, Philippines
(NDFP) from which UFDC is a full-member and all-time supporter.
