City Dart Organization (MCDO) player Kenneth Cruz and United Darters
of Taytay (UDT) player Christopher Delfin teamed up to win the 2nd
Villanueva Darters Club Cup P10,000 Classified Draw Doubles Dart
Tournament held last 17 September 2006, Sunday at
the San Juan Gymnasium in Taytay, Rizal.
Organized by the Villanueva Darters
Club (VDC), one of the dart clubs under the wing of the United Darters
of Taytay (UDT), the tournament was participated in by sixty-eight
(68) players or thirty-four (34) teams.
Cruz and Delfin beat the tandem of last minute
entries Yoko Quillope of Tagum, Davao del Norte and UDT player Jay-Ar
San Juan in their exciting finals encounter. Going into the finals,
Quillope and San Juan had the twice-to-beat advantage after topping
the winners’ bracket. However, Cruz and Delfin overwhelmed
Quillope and San Juan in their best of three encounter and eventually
reigned supreme.
Meanwhile, UDT player Siento Crisostomo and Jojo
Sagayap of Antipolo City edged the pair of UDT Chairman Glenn San
Juan and K Darts player Oweng Galvez for 3rd place.
