Social Security System (SSS) Taps Services of NDFP for Dart League

With its experience in managing dart leagues, as evidenced by the on-going Robson Dart League, the National Dart Foundation of the Philippines (NDFP) was tapped by the Social Security System (SSS) to manage the forthcoming SSS Inter-Group Dart League slated to begin on Wednesday, 18 October 2006 at 6:30 PM at the SSS Livelihood Center located along East Ave., Quezon City.

Prior to the start of the dart league, a Team Captains' Meeting will be held on Monday, 16 October 2006 at 3:30 PM at the Ramon Magsaysay Hall of the SSS Building. A mini dart clinic will also be conducted by NDFP National Coordinator Ritchie Gannaban, who has likewise been appointed to oversee the dart league.

Eleven (11) teams each in the Men's and Women's Divisions or a total of twenty-two (22) teams are participating in the dart league organized by the SSS Dart Committee led by Emil Concecpion (Chairman) and Lito Bernardino (Overseer) together with Jun Carranza (Vice Chairman), Art Lomibao (Technical Head), Arman Altea, Sam Manalo and Kim Medina.

For both divisions, the teams will be divided into two (2) groups and will play a single round robin format. The top two teams in each group then advance to the crossover semi-finals where the Number 1 team has the twice-to-beat advantage. Winners of the sem-finals face each other in the Championship while the losers abbtle it out for 3rd and 4th Place.

After the opening, games will be played every Monday and Friday thereafter starting 20 October 2006.
