Despite the civil disturbances
happening in the Metro Manila area, the Congressman
Del R. de Guzman P10,000 Dart Series (2nd Leg) held
last Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the Tañong Basketball
Court in Marikina City proved to be another rousing success with
the participation of one hundred eighteen (118) players.
The players were very enthusiastic
since home appliances and Robson Sportscraft sporting goods were
also at stake in the event organized by the Marikina City Dart Organization
(MCDO) with Kagawad Omeng Dumlao of the MCDO - Knights of Darters
as lead organizer and supported by Robson Sportscraft and the National
Dart Foundation of the Philippines (NDFP).
City Councilor and former Tañong
Barangay Captain Bodjie Bernardino, representing Congressman Del
R. de Guzman, graced the festivities and lent support to the darters.
The tandem of MCDO - Parang's Arnold Garcia (Parang,
Marikina City) and Amber's Ricky Santiago (Dasmariñas, Cavite)
beat the tandem of MCDO - Knights of Darters' Ricardo Victor (Tañong,
Marikina City) and World Cupper Dixie Ybañez (Cagayan de
Oro City) in their exciting finals encounter.
