Almasco and Bernardino Top Eliminations for Bicol Dart Challenge

Orlan Bernardino of United Darters of Taytay (UDT) representing the Rizal Dart Shooters Society and Ed Almasco of Unified Darters of Alabang - Las Piñas - Cavite (UDALC) won the grueling Robson Dart League Eliminations to represent the National Dart Foundation of the Philippines – National Capital Region (NDFP - NCR) to the NDFP ranking P25,000 Bicol Dart Challenge on April 21, 2007 in Legazpi City, Albay.

The National Dart Foundation of the Philippines (NDFP), organizers of the Robson Dart League, will sponsor the transportation, lodging and entry fees of the winners. The elimination, open only to the players of the on-going Robson Dart League, was an opportunity to give serious and aspiring players a chance for national exposure and to build the national support network of the NDFP. More eliminations are forth-coming for the NDFP ranking events in store for the rest of the year.

The top 4 players in the best of 3 sets, best of 3 legs round robin aside from Bernardino and Almasco were Warren Perolino of UDALC and surprise qualifier JP Qiuntano of Robson Spectra. In the current NDFP Player Ranking, Almasco is in a six-way tie for 10th place while Bernardino is in 16th place.

The elimination was handled by Ritchie Gannaban, NDFP National Coordinator, at Chad’s Bar (formerly Common Room Bar and Café) in Marikina City last Sunday, April 15, 2007.
