The Biggest Philippine Dart League Comes to a Close

Amidst the fanfare of over 75 raffle prizes including 4 dartboards for each divisions, the 1st conference of the Robson Dart League 2007 came to a close, last June.12, 2007. After twelve (12) weeks of competition, eight (8) teams were left to compete in the divisional champions from the starting field of 53 teams.

Mostly, new teams won the Divisional Team Championship. In Division A, first time league players Unified Darters led by Warren Perolino emerged winners over Robson Spectra of Noel Malicdem. Division B saw the resurrected players of Navotas Darters make a comeback after winning the first Robson Dart League in 2004. New teams - United Darters of Taytay (UDT) 2, won Division C and Dart System 1, of Kagawad Mike Alonzo of Quiapo won Division D.

Individual awards for Most Highlights were won by Boie Parfan, Robson Golden Grip (Div A), Jojo Estrella, Kankaloo 1 of Kalookan (Div B), Fhlor Entienza, Flashdarts 1 of SSS (Div C) and Orlando Porquirino, Thrust 2 of Pitogo Makati (Div D). The 1st Conference of the 2007 Robson Dart League is the 9th continuing dart league since the 1st Robson Dart League of 2004. This conference is the biggest dart league with 53 teams and saw for the first time world cuppers such as Boie Parfan and Ricky Mijares. For the first time, an all female team, Robson Amazon, led by Thelma Pineda played in the Division D finals.

The 2007 2nd Conference is scheduled to start in August. With the anticipated influx of more teams, first priority will be given to the current teams. We can only accommodate up to 60 to 64 teams due to limitation of space, but not in equipment for we have 56 dart stands. Anyone who knows a larger place to accommodate more teams let us know.
