
All Set for 2006 Robson Dart League 1st Conference
Finals
The forty-six (46) teams that started
in the 2006 Robson Dart League 1st Conference
is down to eight teams who will play in the Divisional Finals of
A-B-C and D. The finalists were determined after the conclusion
of the Top 4 Round Robin and the Semi-finals phases in the last
fourteen weeks, held every Tuesday night at the Ali Mall in Araneta
Center, Quezon City
Organized by the National Dart Foundation of the
Philippines (NDFP) and sponsored by Sportshouse and Robson Sportscraft,
this unique money-in, money-out dart league gives all teams a share
in the prize money based on the points they won during the entire
conference. Aside from the cash prize, Sportshouse will award gift
items to the top teams in each division while Robson Sportscraft
will award team trophies to the top three teams, individual trophies
to the members of the champion teams and special individual awards
for Most Highlights, Most / Highest High Outs, Most / Highest Double
Bull Outs, Most Ton 80’s and Triple Highlight Achievers in
each division.
Pasig City Darts Club topped the Top 4 Round Robin
of Division A with a 3-0-20 win-loss-points card and will meet Alcodarts
of Quezon City (2-1-17) in the championship. Robson K of Caloocan
City (1-2-11) will challenge MCDO – Knights of Darters 1 of
Marikina City (0-3-6) for 3rd / 4th place.
In Division B, Pansol 1 of Quezon City led the
divisional Top 4 Round Robin with a 2-1-18 win-loss-points card
and will meet Barako Darters of SSS (2-1-14) in the championship.
Shougo of Quezon City (2-1-13) will play against D’ Magnifico
Darters of Marikina City and Taytay, Rizal (0-3-9) for 3rd / 4th
place.
Tumpukan of Marikina City asserted its top post
in the elimination round and subdued government team Philpost –
RODC with a 7-2 score in their semi-finals encounter to grab a finals
slot in Division C. In the other semi-finals encounter, BT Darters
of Balut, Tondo, Manila overcame strong opposition from MCDO –
Bodega Boys A with a score of 5-4. Philpost – RODC and MCDO
– Bodega Boys A will face each in the battle for 3rd / 4th
place.
In Division D, Pitogo, Makati City teams Amazing
and Shining Darters booked seats in the divisional championship
after topping their respective groups in the Top 4 Round Robin.
Amazing topped Group A with a 3-0-19 win-loss-points card while
Shining Darters topped Group B with a 3-0-17. Financial institution
A.F.P.F.I. came in second in Group A with a 1-2-13 card while Samahang
Batang Coral of Manila came in second in Group B with a 2-1-17 card.
For the divisional finals, it will be a battle between Pitogo, Makati
City teams Amazing and Shining Darters while A.F.P.F.I. and Samahang
Batang Coral will have battle it out for 3rd / 4th place.
The public is invited to watch the Finals and Awards
Night scheduled on June 6, 2006 at 8:00 PM at the Ali Mall (3/F
Activity Center) in Araneta Center, Quezon City. Teams are requested
to wear their respective uniforms for the awarding and to bring
food / pulutan for the potluck affair.
In a related development, the organizers would
also like to announce that the 2006 Robson Dart League
2nd Conference is tentatively scheduled to start by
last week of July or early August 2006. There may be a change of
venue which will be announced at a later date. Due to limited slots,
interested teams should submit their team line-up and their team
logo (colored, JPEG or PSD format, 300 dpi) as soon as possible.
