All Set for Sportshouse and Robson P100,000 Free Registration Darterong Pinoy 2005

The much awaited Sportshouse and Robson P100,000 Free Registration Darterong Pinoy 2005 is set for November 11 to 13 in the conveniently located Ali Mall, Araneta Center, Quezon City. This is the 3rd year of the unprecedented and the only P100,000 free registration dart tournament in the Philippines organized by the National Dart Foundation of the Philippines (NDFP).

Sportshouse and Robson Sportscraft are, again, the event presentors of this prestigious event. This free-registration tournament is the commitment of Mars Chua, President of Sportshouse, and Tito Soncuya, President of Robson Sportscraft, to give something back to the community for making Sportshouse the number one sports retailer and Robson Sportscraft the leader in dart accessories.

The Darterong Pinoy is a major national dart tournament with participation coming from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Darterong Pinoy continues to hold the distinction of having the most number of registered participants and this year's tournament attendance records are projected to be broken again with the participation of significantly more darters coming from the provinces and from the forty-four (44) teams playing in the current Robson Dart League.

VIEW TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

The tournament utilizes a thirty-two (32) dartboard set-up with events open to the whole family – from the youth, ladies’ and open singles, the mixed doubles and the traditional draw doubles and draw triples events.

The tournament will again tempt the virgin beginners, aspiring novice, balikdarters, league players and the mainstream darters to take advantage of the free registration dart extravaganza. Since the inception of the free-registration tournament, this has been the entry point of the novice / beginners to the realm of competitive darts and the wake-up call for the balikdarters to play again. The organizers take pride in the contribution Darterong Pinoy makes in uplifting and expanding the sports of darts.

Tournament organizers are also looking forward to an exciting tournament brought forth by the new crop of darters coming from the dart leagues and the rapidly expanding Mindanao darters. The Darterong Pinoy National Youth Singles Championship, the most prestigious youth championship today and the model for the nationwide youth singles events, will be heavily contested by the darters of the nationwide youth development programs. The best of three singles format in the elimination rounds makes the Open Singles and Ladies Singles a wide open and anybody's championship.

The Fixed Four-Person National Team Championship has since been institutionalized in the Darterong Pinoy as it gives darters, especially those coming from the provinces, the chance to give honor to their respective cities, municipalities and provinces. Best Uniform Award is again in store in the Team Championship, along with giveaways and raffle prizes throughout the three days of tournament.
