Davao Darters Association Organized; Presents Araw ng Dabaw Dart Tournament

Darters in Davao City, through the support of old-timers led by Atty. Oying Melodias, Fiscal Vic Sepulveda and Barangay Captain Romil delos Reyes, spearheaded a re-organizational meeting to consolidate the darters in Davao City into the Karaan Davao Darters Association, Inc. (KDDAI).

In-coming President is Edwin Ponce and Boy Gludo as Vice President. Other officials include Danny Polinar as Secretary, Boy Villamor as Treasurer, Vic Lobiano as Auditor, Jeoffrey Adumduman as P.I.O., Ruel Bentain as Business Manager and Vic Abas, Joel Mambaling and Sonny Balagat at Sergeants-at-Arms. Atty. Melodias, Fiscal Sepulveda, Brgy. Capt. Delos Reyes and CPA Winno Bulaklak serve as the KDDAI Advisers.

As its initial project, KDDAI, in cooperation with the Office of Hon. Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte, organized the 69th Araw ng Dabaw P24,000 Dart Tournament ni Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte on March 17-18, 2006 at Mantex Dart Station (Mama Tsina) located along Magallanes St., Davao City. Preceding the tournament is the P10,000 Open Draw Triples on March 16, 2006 at 6:00 PM at the same venue.

Balik-darters Miro Constantino, Jojo Barellano and King Cañedo gave honor to Davao City in the past year and with the support of an organized dart association, Davao City will definitely see new champions, more darters and additional sponsors. The best is yet to come and hopefully a sleeping giant has awakened in Southern Mindanao. The NDFP fully supports your undertaking as we have done in the past.
