Congratulations Ronnel Botor
New President of UFDC

Ronnel Botor, the National Dart Foundation of the Philippines (NDFP) Middle East Coordinator, is the newly elected president of the UFDC (United Filipino Darters Club) of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The new officers of UFDC were elected last February 25, 2006 at the Himig Bar and Karaoke Club of the Emirates Plaza Hotel.

The following week, March 4, 2006, Botor called an officers meeting to set the plan of action for UFDC. The following committees were formed to help spur the dart development in Abu Dhabi – Membership, Events and Tournaments, Ways and Means and the Sports and Development Committees. Gerry Flores was appointed as the official Tournament Director of UFDC. Enthusiasm of support was very evident with the full attendance of the board.

Ronnel Botor is fully committed to support darts not only in Abu Dhabi, but in the Middle East. According to Botor, “We will interact with the various dart organizations in the Middle East and bring a level of dart excellence never seen before, but foremost is an agenda of transparency and credibility of leadership.”

Initially, the UFDC Amazons was formed to compete in the Ladies League Division, a Battle of the Champions was set for the end of the year and many other activities are forth-coming.
