DAVAO CITY --- The remaining eight teams of the on going P23,000 Corporate Dart League entitled 2nd Congressman Boy Nograles – Casino Filipino Cup – 158th San Pedro Cathedral Patronal Feast 2006 will play for the Championship on Friday, June 30, 2006 at the Mantex Dart Station, Davao City.

The Corporate Dart League is organized the Alpha Phi Omega ng Dabaw Alumni Association (ANDAA) for the benefit of the Davao youth darters and for the existing ANDAA environmental-friendly projects.

The top eight teams are the Casino Filipino Davao, Davao City Engineer’s, Davao City Water District, D&L Automotive Center, Jimmy G. Dureza Legislators, Karaan Dart Club Teams I and II, and Sagrex.

Aside from the Corporate Dart League, organizers will hold the 2nd Congressman Boy Nograles – Casino Filipino Cup – 158th San Pedro Cathedral Patronal Feast 2006 Open Dart Tournament the following day July 1, 2006 at the same venue. The P10,000 Open Doubles is set at 1:00 PM and the P10,000 Open Singles follows at 6:00 PM.

The Open Singles is a ranking event of the National Dart Foundation of the Philippines (NDFP), where the top players will earn NDFP Championship Points. The league and tournament trophies are sponsored by Robson Sportscraft.

Dart enthusiasts from Southern and Central Mindanao areas are expected to vie for the Open Singles from defending 2005 champion Arturo “Long-Long” Longyapon of Davao City.

Honorable Congressman and House Majority Leader Prospero “Boy” Nograles of the 1st District of Davao City, through his Chief of Staff, Atty. Karlo B. Nograles, strongly supported the dart league and tournament as it was endorsed and included in the projects and programs of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) – Casino Filipino.
