1st
Inter-City Invitational Dart Championship Set
The National Dart Foundation of the
Philippines (NDFP) is launching the 1st Inter-City Invitational
Dart Championship on May 13, 2006 at the Common Room
Bar and Restaurant in Marikina City. Dart players representing their
local dart organizations in the National Capital Region and Rizal
will vie for the Overall Championship through the Open Singles,
Fixed Doubles and Four-Person Team events.
This will be immediately followed
at 9:00 PM (after after the championship matches of the Inter-City
Dart Championship) by the Robson Dart Series P12,000
Classified Draw Triples, which is open
to all darters.
Invited to the 1st Inter-City
Invitational Dart Championship are members of established
local dart organizations of United Darters of Taytay (UDT), Marikina
City Dart Organization (MCDO), Angono Rizal Dart Association (ARDA)
and Makati City Darts Association (MCDA).
The Inter-City Dart Championship
is inline with the thrust of the NDFP to support and propagate local
dart organizations and to build regional support networks of the
local dart organizations. This undertaking hopes to promote camaraderie
among dart organizations within Metro Manila, to spur other cities
/ municipalities to form their respective local dart organizations
and to gain the support of local government units for their respective
local dart organizations.
Included in the Inter-City Dart Championship
are exhibition matches of youth players from UDT and the ACDC (Angalo
Circuit Dart Club). The Youth Championship is divided into two age
brackets: 1) Fifteen (15) to eighteen (18) years old and 2.) Fourteen
(14) years old and below. The support program for the youth is a
continuing commitment of the NDFP since the National Youth Singles
of the Darterong Pinoy 1999 and the free-registration Youth Singles
in NDFP-sanctioned major tournaments.
Championship matches of all events
will be played at the end of the Invitational Championship.
Support and cheer for your teams!
