The NDFP in
co-operation with Sportshouse and Robson Sportscraft launched a
series of summer dart mall tours in 2004 to enhance the image of
darts, propagate the sport and expose darts to the general public.
The Dart Mall Tour is a combination of dart tournaments, exhibition
matches, dart exhibit, fun games, mini tournaments, dart clinics
and raffle draws.
SM Marilao
March 19 – 21, 2004; SM Marilao, Bulacan
The highlight of the first leg was the P20,000 Classified Draw Doubles
where 108 players participated. Fun games added spice to the tournament.
Exhibition matches were also held between Team Robson and the Bulacan
Selection
SM Lucena
March 26 – 27, 2004; SM Lucena, Quezon
Exhibition matches were held between Team Robson and three teams:
Lucena Dart Team, Quezon Selection and Laguna Selection. A free
registration singles mini tournament for Lucena darters was also
held where a mountain bike was up for grabs. Fun games, dart clinics,
raffle draws likewise delighted the public.
SM Sucat
April 2 – 4, 2004; SM Sucat, Parañaque City
Team Robson players showed their prowess on the board with an international
caliber exhibition match. Fun games, dart clinics and raffle draws
were held continuously, capped by free registration singles and
doubles mini tournaments.
SM Fairview
April 16 – 18, 2004; SM Fairview, Quezon City
A free registration Youth Singles and the P24,000 Classified Draw
Triples highlighted the fourth leg of the Dart Mall Tour. Participants
in both events were given free event shirts. Fun games and raffle
draws added color to the tournament.
Ali Mall
May 30, 2004; Ali Mall, Quezon City
The Ali Mall Food Court was the fifth stop of the Dart Mall Tour
where the Restricted Non-Rated / Non-Classified P18,000 Draw Triples
was held. The tournament drew 159 players, the single day most attended
tournament of 2004.
Riverbanks Center
August 8, 2004; Riverbanks Center, Marikina City
A free registration P12,000 Classified Draw Triples was held at
Riverbanks Center, the last stop of the Dart Mall Tour. 138 players
participated in the tournament.
